Mom's Night Out Art and Appetizers Friday: Madonna & Child Gold Ink on Black canvas

Working with a picture we each cut out, we placed them on Black painted canvas 

and decorated with Gold Oil Sharpie pens.

Supplies:

Canvas

Black acrylic paint

Water

Picture of Mary & Jesus

Mod podge

Gold ink Sharpie pens, oil based

1.     Cover canvas with a thin layer of water.

2.     Squeeze some black acrylic paint on the water covered canvas and distribute evenly to cover the entire canvas.  You could also do very dark blue or purple.

3.    Cut out the picture of Mary & Jesus leaving mainly their faces.

4.    When the canvas is dry, glue the picture where desired.  When dry, do a coat of glue on top of the picture to seal it down to the canvas.

5.    Let dry.

6.    Start filling in Mary & Jesus’ clothes and background with Gold ink pens.
